Highly rated Brazilian attacker Hulk has bypassed the Barclays Premier League and joined Russian side Zenit-St. Petersburg. Hulk looked likely to move to Chelsea earlier in the transfer window but Chelsea didn't succeed and now, Zenit has picked up the former Porto player with a 5-year contract, costing almost 40 million pounds
Raul Meireles moves to Turkey
Chelsea have sold portugese midfielder Raul Meireles to Turkish club Fenerbahce - the transfer window in Turkey does not close until the 5th of September, so Meireles was able to sign a 4-year contract at the Instanbul club.
Tottenham steal Clint Dempsey
After offers from Liverpool and Stoke, Tottenham have won the race to sign American midfielder Clint Dempsey. Dempsey was looking to move to a better club where he could contest for trophies. He was leaning towards Liverpool before Stoke made an offer and finally Tottenham made an offer which was agreed to. Dempsey signed a 3-year contract for a 6 million pound transfer fee

Adebayor permanently at Tottenham
Emmanuel Adebayor has signed a permanent 9 million pound deal with Tottenham, moving from Manchester City. Adebayor signed with last seasons EPL champions in 2009 but after playing half a season, was loaned out to Real Madrid. Last season, Adebayor was loaned out to Tottenham and played as their main striker, but he was still owned by Manchester City. Now, he is permanently at Tottenham

Song sold by Wenger
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger had been disappointed with Alex Song's lack of commitment to Arsenal in the pre-season which has lead to him being sold to Barcelona. The Cameroon midfielder moved to Barcelona for 15 million pounds, less than a week after another Arsenal star Robin Van Persie was sold to Manchester United.
Van Persie remains in England
Robin Van Persie has signed a new contract with Premier League team Manchester United. The dutchman refused to sign a new contract with Arsenal earlier during the transfer period and a lot of speculation was going on about where the striker would move. Van Persie had announced his interest in moving out of the Barclays Premier League. But after Juventus failed to sign Van Persie, Manchester United sneaked last seasons top goalscorer with a transfer fee believed to be 22-24 million pounds. Van Persie will now play alongside last seasons 2nd top goalscorer Wayne Rooney, the pair scoring 57 goals between them.
Chelsea sign 2 more international youngsters
The first of the 2 signings was Belgian youngeter Thorgan Hazard. His brother Edin Hazard, signed with Chelsea last month for 32 million pounds. Thorgan Hazard moved from Lens to join his brother after spending his first year as a senior player at Lens last year, making 14 appearances for the club.
The second signing is Brazilian Midfielder Oscar. The attacking midfielder has moved from Brazil to sign a 5-year contract at Chelsea for a believed 25 million euro's.
Tim Cahill to move to New York
Australian Attacker Tim Cahill is set to sign a new contract with MLS team New York Red Bulls. Last season, Cahill scored only 3 goals in 41 appearances for Everton who came 7th in the Barclays Premier League last season. Cahill has been at the club since 2004 and has scored 68 goals in 278 appearances for the club
Ibrahimovic joins Silva at Paris Saint-German
Former AC Milan Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the second player to move from AC Milan to Paris Saint-German this summer transfer window. Thiago Silva also moved recently to PSG. Ibrahimovic has signed a 3-year contract with the French giants after a 20 million euro transfer. He will receive an annual salary of 12.5 million euros, making him the second most paid player, behind Samuel Eto'o. Ibrahimovic's 2 year stint at AC Milan included 56 goals in 85 games. Ibrahimovic is used to transfers though, he has played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan and now Paris Saint-German, all in the past 10 years.
Thiago Silva moves to France
Brazilian centre back Thiago Silva has been transfered from AC Milan to Paris Saint-German and has signed a 5-year contract. Silva has been at AC Milan for 3 years and has now moved to PSG who have recently had a change in ownership resulting in them being one of the richest clubs in the world. Silva is one of many top-level AC Milan players who have left the club in the summer transfer window, including Mark Van Bommel, Gennaro Gatusso and Alessandro Nesta.
Park Ji Sung joins Queens Park Rangers
Former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji Sung has signed a new 2-year contract for Queens Park Rangers. The South Korean moved to Queens Park Rangers for a believed $7.75 million. Park has spent the past 7 years at Manchester United which included 4 Premier League titles.
Van Persie denies new Arsenal Contract
Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie has recently denied a new contract for his club. Last season's Barclays Premier League top goal scorer is most likely to move to Serie A winners Juventus. Manchester United and Manchester City are also looking to sign the Dutchman but Van Persie has said that he wants to leave the Premier League and join Juventus, who are looking to soon make a bid for Van Persie.
Spanish star Jordi Alba joins Barcelona
Spanish Left Back Jordi Alba has joined Barcelona on a 5-year contract. Jordi Alba was called up to the Spanish national team this season and has starred for them as a Left Back. His performance in the Euro 2012 got him noticed by Barcelona, and he has now moved from Valencia, which he made 108 appearances for, scoring 6 goals.
Bayern Munich sign Croatian superstar
Croatian attacker Mario Mandzukic has signed a new contract with German giants Mayern Munich. Mandzukic has showed his talent recently during his stunning performace in the Euro 2012 for Croatia, scoring 3 goals in the first 2 games for Croatia, who were eliminated in the group stages after coming third in group C. Mandzukic also had a fantastic season for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals in 33 appearences in the 2011/12 season. He was his team's top goalscorer for the season in the Bundesliga with 11 goals.
